Placer County Office of Education serves as the Career Partnership’s fiscal agent, with the support of its two other major educational partners: Sierra College and Nevada County Superintendent of Schools. The partnership is primarily funded by a federal School-To-Work Opportunity Act grant. Sierra College has also contributed federal Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act, Title II, Tech Prep funds. All of our partners, business and educational, constantly donate “time” to our program. This is often a large and unaccounted for (though greatly appreciated!) financial contribution.
